Hi and welcome to my profile page. I'm a mum of two, married to Tom and live in Matfield near Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
For as long as I can remember I've just loved babies. Having always wondered why I never became a midwife I've now found the job that I was born to do!
My whole career has been about supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of many people and their babies. I have been a massage therapist for 30 years and a baby massage teacher for over 17 years, throughout which time I have built a wealth of experience and understanding of all the joys and challenges involved in having a baby.
Whether it be your first or fourth baby, my aim is to make you feel listened to and empowered with the choices you make throughout the whole experience. I'll assist you and your partner (if there is one), in preparing for, and carrying out, your wishes for the birth of your baby and beyond.
I will give no medical advice or make decisions on your behalf, but by being there we can talk through procedures or advice that you may have been given. This will enable you to process and come to an informed decision that makes you feel relaxed and happy.
The birth and post natal stories I've heard in my classes have ranged from the amazing to the definitely not so amazing experiences! This time of your life is the most wonderful, life changing and sometimes overwhelming experience you will encounter, so my aim is to create a calm and safe environment for you and your family.
I cover a one hour travel radius from TN12 Matfield, Kent
What do I Offer?
All my packages are tailor made to each family, couple, women, birthing person's individual need, thoughts and expectations.
After an initial contact has been made I offer a free in person chat to answer any questions and to see if we are a good fit for each other and anyone else involved.
Antenatel & Birth
2 x 2 hour sessions in your home
Attend antenatal appointments with you if requested
On call 10 days before your EDD until your baby arrives
Birth support
Help and support with first feed after birth
Postnatel session to debrief about the birth
Phone and messaging support until 4 weeks postpartum
Postnatel
Help with breast or bottle feeding, bath time, soothing and baby massage
Look after your baby whilst you shower, nap or take a few minuets phoning family or friends
Errands and a little cooking
An ear to bend and a shoulder to lean on to laugh, cry or just 'be'
Minimum of 3hrs / maximum 5hrs per visit
